Hong Kong Lotteries

The Mark Six Lottery began in 1975. The Hong Kong Lotteries Board operated the lottery until 2003, when it was replaced by HKJC Lotteries Limited, which is owned by the Hong Kong Jockey Club. Tickets may be purchased in person or online.

Mark Six draws are held weekly. The draws average three per week, with added value "snowball" draws at holidays such as Lunar New Year and the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The Hong Kong government is paid 25% of lottery turnover as betting duty, with an additional 15% contributed directly to the Lotteries Fund.
